Daniel Zeichner MP said: “This important report highlights the lack of data we have on investment in mental health. It is frankly ridiculous that we don't know how much money actually reaches the people who rely on the services.
"From my postbag I know that services are stretched. But we can't rely on anecdotal evidence if we want to have parity of esteem between physical and mental health.
"Proper investment in data gathering and greater transparency is critical.

The NHS in Cambridgeshire is still in the dark over how much mental health spending reaches service users, according to a report by the National Audit Office.
