Pipped.io secures support from Cambridge Network to revolutionise hiring processes through an intelligent recruitment platform

Cambridge Network is delighted to announce its collaboration with Pipped.io - an intelligent recruitment platform that connects and fast-tracks recruitment by connecting employers with exceptional candidates who narrowly missed out on previous roles.

The collaboration addresses the persistent challenge of lengthy recruitment timelines. According to Deloitte’s 2023 Global Talent Trends report, the average time to fill mid-level professional roles globally is 40–45 days, with senior or executive roles extending beyond 60 days in specialised sectors, requiring specialised skills or stringent background checks.

Created from a desire to accelerate and streamline the hiring process, the Pipped platform allows companies to refer and connect with pre-vetted candidates who were “pipped to the post” during earlier hiring processes. By tapping into this pool of highly qualified professionals, businesses can streamline recruitment and reduce the time-to-hire.

Gerald Carew, Founder of Pipped said: “As well as making hiring easier and more cost-effective, Pipped is designed to proactively address skill shortages, by dedicating a percentage of revenue towards learning and development/training to help increase core and in-demand skills in the region.

Our ambition is to help companies find outstanding talent in a convenient, cost-effective and community-focused manner. Simultaneously we will be investing in the professional growth of job seekers, through workshops delivered in partnership with Cambridge Network.

We’re keen to work with people and organisations who truly feel passionate about solving these challenges. Claire Angus has been at the centre of this in Cambridgeshire, so we’re delighted to collaborate with Cambridge Network, following their track record of tackling these same challenges from different angles for many years. By working together, we can increase positive outcomes for companies and job seekers across Cambridgeshire. We strongly believe that supporting the talent ecosystem at every stage is the best way to ensure successful ongoing innovation in Cambridgeshire and beyond.”

Claire Angus, Head of Recruitment & Account Management at Cambridge Network said: “We’ve been excited to be involved in ongoing conversations with Gerald, as he develops this new innovative recruitment platform.  With the platform ready to launch, we’re excited to collaborate further, recognising a strong alignment between the Pipped ethos and that of the Cambridge Network Recruitment Gateway.

Addressing skills gaps remains a key focus for us and Pipped. We’re eager to see how this collaboration can enhance hiring within the Cambridge ecosystem and look forward to our members embracing this innovative platform.”

Pipped is designed to support both recruiting companies and candidates, with the ability for referring companies to be rewarded with up to 10% of the referral fee once their recommended candidate passes their probation period.

Additionally, Pipped will be investing in the professional growth of job seekers through workshops delivered in partnership with Cambridge Network for in-demand skills.
