The team has once again been targeting graduates and post grads at university careers fairs, giving students the chance to find out about the vacancies and internship opportunities that leading employers are advertising through Recruitment Gateway in the busy Cambridge high technology cluster.
“Cambridge Network’s new website is attracting around 20,000 unique visitors every month and the Recruitment Gateway is proving to be a runaway success. No less than 80 job applications, on average, are being made through the site every week," said Hilary Laing, Cambridge Network’s COO.
“And we are taking Cambridge opportunities to some of the most likely candidates, so that our members don’t have to. During the past week we've been to the universities of Manchester and Oxford, representing a broad spectrum of employer organisations."
She added: "We talk to students and promote the Recruitment Gateway website as a single port of call for undergraduates and graduates looking for their first roles, and at the same time highlight the attractions of living and working in the Cambridge region.”
The Recruitment Gateway team will resume its roadshow in the autumn, with plans confirmed already to travel to Cardiff, Glasgow, Bristol, UCL, Bath, King’s College London, Imperial, Newcastle, York and Oxford to attend on-campus events, and many more events to be added to the schedule. And, of course, the team will be present at the University of Cambridge Careers Fair too.
