Impact founder Nicolas Buteau has just launched Sunny Future, a new international community for careers in the AI era. More than 300 participants have already joined the community and started courses. The first of its kind, Sunny Future guides the four paths that most of us face at some point in our careers: active job search, solopreneurship/entrepreneurship, sabbatical, and moving places. Sunny Future unlocks access to a powerful support system of peers, alumni and business partners, and to real life chapters, meetups and retreats.
435m people changed jobs in 2024 and the trend will accelerate in 2025, in an uncertain world that fuels “peak career anxiety: AI, working until 70, tariffs, geopolitics, and a generational sense of anguish over our place in the universe”. Yet, even through volatile times, our careers should be joyful, social, and impactful. Sunny Future brings an optimistic outlook to our careers, “even if the job market changes, it is full of new possibilities, with so many new career avenues worthy of our endeavours: 100-year lives, planetary health, strengthening communities, protecting our democracies. There’s a lot to do!”
UCL and LSE graduate Nicolas is not new to career change: foreign affairs, consultancy, investment banking, publishing, tech, HR… spanning Europe, the US, Middle East and Asia-Pacific. “I am passionate about the future of careers, in all its nuances, and the power of the collective to solve the world’s most pressing issues”. In his HR capacity - notably in the early days of Uber or Booking - Nicolas has helped thousands land dream jobs around the world, and he still advises many founders through their journeys.
At the core of Sunny Future is the belief that everyone can be empowered to develop new systems, dream big, and build the future they want.
