Are you ready to secure some of the most impactful philanthropic gifts of your career? Cambridge University's Development and Alumni Relations office is looking for an experienced major gifts fundraiser to become part of a team supporting the University's most important initiatives. Reporting to the Director of International and Regional Programmes, this role will focus on securing philanthropic support from constituents across Europe.

The Role:

You will be an experienced fundraiser eager to secure gifts at the transformational level. Collaborative, strategic, and innovative in approach, you will have the ability to engage with high-net-worth individuals and senior staff across Collegiate Cambridge, as well as academics and other key stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a high-impact fundraising strategy.

  • Cultivate relationships with high-net-worth individuals, corporate partners, and foundations.

  • Drive engagement and secure transformational philanthropic gifts.

  • Collaborate with senior University leaders and academic stakeholders.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience in fundraising with a track record of securing major gifts.

  • Strong relationship-building skills with high-net-worth individuals.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to innovate.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • A collaborative and motivated team player.

  • Willingness to travel frequently and work out of regular hours when required.

  • The ability to speak an additional European language is highly desirable.
