About the role:
As part of this exciting project, we are developing our construction provision by launching two apprenticeships (Level 4 and Level 6) in civil engineering and are looking for an individual with an innovative and disruptive approach to civil engineering and construction education who will develop and drive forward strategies to attract and retain a diverse range of people to our courses. The successful candidate will be committed to building curricula which will develop graduates with the skills and behaviours required by an engineer in the 21st century.
As such we are seeking to appoint a Lecturer (full or fractional) with expertise in Civil Engineering and particularly structural engineering or hydraulics to lead the new course and contribute to the teaching of the Construction portfolio which also includes Construction Management and Quantity Surveying. You will need a Degree plus a PhD or Professional Doctorate or near completion. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience using innovative, industry relevant and engaging teaching techniques which focus on non-technical skills development as much as technical.
